Hardware
The printers, phones, iPads, and computers BatchlyHQ works with. Labels from any of them, on a Brother QL or a Star printer.
A Brother QL printer
BatchlyHQ's print agent runs on a Windows computer in the shop and sends it each label. The iPhone and iPad app can print to it straight over the shop's Wi-Fi.
A Star printer with CloudPRNT
Linerless labels, with no backing to peel. Print it and stick it on the bucket. The printer asks BatchlyHQ for its labels by itself, so there's no computer at the shop and nothing to install.
Real labels
It prints bucket labels, pint labels for the front and the side, freezer and defrost tags, and a label for an ingredient's lot.
A label carries the flavor, its ingredients, its allergens, the batch code, a best-by date, and the claims it may make, such as vegan or certified kosher. Black on white tape, drawn at the printer's own dots, so small type stays sharp.
Your labels, your words: each label's lines and type are yours to set, with your logo.
Phones, iPads, and computers
BatchlyHQ runs in any up-to-date browser, and as an app for iPhone and iPad. A shared iPad on the line unlocks with each person's PIN.
Barcode scanners, coming
Scanning a package into a batch, and a batch out to a location, comes with advanced traceability. We'll say which scanners work when it does.
